I tend to think that ShutterAsia is ALL about photography, and it shouldn't have exclusion on any matter pertaining to Photography - Buy/Sell as an example..there are actually many people who may not have reached the level to comment about other people's photo and still learning, let alone posting own photograph...

sorry just my 2 cents thought.. your predicament though is understood

Rules meant to be followed but there're many members who post a comment just for the sake of posting in order to reach the 50 posts quota. 10 postings per day and in 5 days you're already there. How to differentiate between a posting from an honest member and a posting from a member with intention to reach the quota? Can we really know the intention of others?

a member who are here just to buy or sell, can be differentiate easily... most of the time, they will post a lot of comments within a few day, once 50 posts reached, they will immediately post in "Buy/Sell" thread...

Well, we do gone through all posts... that's why we know.

Actually we all are monitoring all these new members. They can post 40 posts per day and once reached 50 post immediately open thread for buy/sell.
As a new member just started photography might not like or dare give comment but why not just post up your photos and let other members comment your photos. this can help you to polish your skill. Don't just think that must comment other members photos only can get your 50 posts

why bother if your starting point is not simply registered to sell item?...just put photography at the first place...the purpose we set the rules is we do not want members to come and just to sell but to share ideas on photography...50 post counts to prove your initial point on photography...I think is not too much...cheer up and just post and share your pictures, opinions, questions, knowledge..........
