bcteh : I think if I were to shoot a piece of white paper with "LONG SHUTTER SPEED" written on it with fat marker pen, and submit the photo according to the rules, specs and regulations - it will still qualify for the challenge, albeit it most likely wont win me anything of course! LOL

Themes/Titles are something which is always open to interpretations by all of us as different individuals. So, my advice is; instead of worrying on how many seconds you wanna set the shutter speed at... get creative and juice it up on how you wanna express yourself based on the theme/title

Good luck and most importantly - have fun while shooting!

Cheers!

Someone is very moody huh... .
And yes, i still consider myself as newbie... so much more to learn..
Anyway, sorry, miss out bcteh question. scroll down too fast and only saw luke question.

But still i think need to clarify what is consider as long shutter speed pic. That the reason why i asked. If not people will post up pics with shutter speed like 1/60secs, 1/30secs, those that took less than 1sec to shoot.
Personally i feel shutter speed should be more than 1secs in order to consider as long shutter speed.

Being too open for interpretation sometime make the competition look really messy especially for theme that are quite direct like this.

Anyway, that just my personal opinion. maybe next theme can be more specific like asking members to submit photos that must be taken with 30secs shutter speed.
I thnk it would be interesting.
