D4

So tomorrow is the day:
http://businesstoday.intoday.in/stor...e/1/21500.html

Hurray, great, no over-megapixeling!

And a new 85mm G f/1.8:

At reasonable cost I think it will find its way into mhy bag - should be a very sharp lens as the MTF curves show and the old AF-D was very sharp too.
At 500$ this is gonna be a steal:

About 6000$ for the D4. About 3000$ for the D800. And 500$ for the 85mm f/1.8.

Dpreview and Imaging resource have posted their studio comparisons of the D4.

Compared to D3 and D3s:

- up to 3200 ISO all 3 cameras perform very similar (D4 bonus extra 4MP)
- from 6400 to 12800 ISO D3s and D4 perform similary (D4 bonus extra 4MP) while D3 starts suffering.
- beyond 12800 both D4 and D3s start suffering.

So basically same performance as D3s with extra 4MP.

To me it's clear - I might upgrade - to a D3s if I can find a good second hand at a good price...
