I don't have much experience with the previous PENs but I can definitely say that the E-P3's AF performance is an obvious improvement, especially in low-light. I found it even faster to use with touch focusing, which is great for composition even if you're already used to the lock-focus and recompose technique.
Perhaps it's just me but I'd have preferred a tiny bit more height on the E-P3. It's width is nice and a little extra height with a slightly curve grip on the front would have made it perfect. |

I think the cam should do better; color, contrast, DR etc. Are the photos PP? are they JPEG straight from camera?
Try shooting with sunlight... I am Sabahan too... Try some shots in Tanjung Aru, Sutera Harbor Yatch Club or zoom to kundasan/mt KK to have some shots if you are free in weekend... If you want something nearby can try koko hill, sepangar bay, Karabrunei/rasaria. If you can wake up early, try bird sanctuary in Likas junctions linking to coastal road. Of course during the golden hours. I believe the color, contrast, sharpness, DR etc. can be better. Have you try shooting the 3D function in EP3? Be informed in my very simple trial tests above...
AF though fast can result in misfocus even at f4 with the Pana 7-14 if choice of focus targets are low-contrast in very low-light...fair I suppose... Touch screen focus acquisition and shots are just delightful! It's a very enlightening experience... Added: Oh hi calvincychin photos are straight jpeg off camera just for you...picture mode default natural...I'm sure you can better optimise a lot more...uploaded with reduced resolution and jpeg quality I care to add to photobucket...opps!

Olympus 12mm f2.0 ED...
Arrived last Saturday in a very unassuming little box...typical Olympus...this one made in Tatsuno?, Japan!. Included with the lens is the front and rear plastic caps. No lens carry case -- optional No hood -- optional Lens though metal feels very light...magnesium alloy?...almost plastic it seems... The very desirable LH-48 metal rectangular hood seen in reviews is an optional item. So too an optional LC-48 metal lens cap which I didn't bother with. Olympus makes a protection filter PRF-D46 PRO for it that hasn't arrived yet. All this accessories will cost hundreds!! (Clever Olympus marketing...) You can't go wrong ordering it from your local dealer as ebay lists the LH-48 for RM360++ while it should cost you less than RM300 locally...Mine is on order still... ![]() ![]() ![]()
