hi

I'm quite new to digital photography, used to just shoot film. however this pic is quite good as a real black and white picture. Most of the time digital Bnw becomes scales of grey, I think alot of people forgot that in a black and white picture, the blacks must be truly black, and the whites truly white. I used to spend hours in the dark room using different levels of filters to fix pictures that were underexposed...hence alot of grey.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the correct settings for my 40d to shoot real black and white cuz I really don't like to photoshop that much! but then again, I'm just a hobbyist these days, not trying to submit anything for publication.

alot of detail in the picture, but it'd be cool if u zoomed in more on the guy and more sparks! lol

Maybe a tight crop would be better.

but then again, all the details captured in the background adds to a kind of industrial feel which is also cool.
