I think any ISO will do as long as you like the output. For me, in event shooting, I will use higher ISO, normally up to 800. If cannot freeze the subject, I will push up.

I normally use TTL with Center Weighted metering. Reason being is I only care on the exposure of the subject and the immediate surrounding; not the whole image.

Of course, when shooting, will check any over expose or under exposure and check on the shutter speed/apperture to make sure it is not EE; error. If EE, I will push up (or down) the ISO to give more room for the camera to get the desire shutter speed/aperture.

Donno this is a good way or not... but so far this method serve me well.
