no problems for me. I am using Phottix Battery grip....Price is affordable and since it does not affect the outcome of photos, I am fine with using 3rd party. I am also using Octopus OEM battery for my 30D which came free when I bought the Phottix. No problems so far.

Savings, managed to get me Hoya HD CPL. Nice....

Some ppl say it....some ppl do not say it.
Can car explode? Ferrari also can explode. Kancil also can explode. If you feel you get more peace of mind buying branded stuff, you may proceed though no guarantees.

No problems so far for me. Most of my spare batteries are 3rd party brands. I also bought a Phottix grip for my 400D a few years ago and it worked perfectly.

Some feedback that the battery life is shorter and not as rated, while some say it couldn't absorb charge as much as original battery hence shorter battery capacity.

None of this happened to me so far.
