lomo isn't a camera. actually the real lomo is from LOMO company in Russia. They used to build military and spy camera. yup! zaman perang maa...and then a long time after, been discovered by young lads from Austria, then there it goes an art of photog call LOMOgraphy.

You can get the Holga 135BC for RM 170 with flash from Ebay. I got mine a year ago for RM 200 with the flash. Have fun man and be creative

I agree with clipper somewhat. I think even the most mundane photo, when arranged in a series, should speak of something -- either a narrative, concept, meaning or purpose. There is nothing wrong with slice of life photos but riding solely on an effect produced by a camera is not what makes magical photos. I used to like taking photos with my LC-A but soon got bored of it when I felt I relied too much on the vignetting/whatever effect to make a photo interesting. But in the end, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I agree with you that photos arranged in series with tell a great stories, just like some of the photos in Nat Geo magazine. Some looked pretty plain, but because it's attached to an article, the photos became a great series. Lomo's effect should be viewed as complimentary and cannot, in whatever ways, replace a photographer's ideas, compositions and the arrangement of a series of photos
