blueish grains of sand

there's a lot of things not quite right but what i am curious is how to fix the bluish grains of sand. hopefully the answer is somewhat simple.

and if you wish to do more fancy stuff too, by all means, please do.

thanks in advance. pic captured with a P & S

I am not sure about Leica D-LUX4 but if the PnS can adjust WB, set it to a hotter temp.

In nikon coolpix for example, you can switch to foot & beverage scene and get a life view of different WB result.

Or, if you select sunset Scene, it automatically sets a hotter WB temp.

I have adjusted the temperature in a simple Windows 7 tool - Live Photo Gallery.

thanks for the tip. i did attempt a WB fix and the result is somewhat like what you had - the sand color became darker/orangy than what i remember.

thanks all the same. anyone else with ideas ?

Maybe your Leica doesn't allow you to fine tune the WB temp but you don't need to worry too much about that (each jump is too big in gap). Perceived color and actual color always differ under different light source.

In addition to that, you may want to try to calibrate your LCD. Most LCD are too cold (in color temperature), thus the blue tint.
