Camouflaged Spider

Only decent photo I took during last week's short outing with Alvinlau. Forgot to charge my flash batteries too.

Anyway, I've tried identifying this spider but so far no luck. Anybody wanna take a guess? Found it against the bark of a tree with some silk woven over it.

We shall henceforth name it: Spiny-shielded amphibus gojirii

Very good catch!

Interesting catch! The abdomen looks like a shell

I know nuts about spideys, but this looks like those from the Argiope lobata family.

Hehehe...finally....yep...sure looks like it.

Funny thing was, I also found another smaller spider close by...wonder if it's just hanging about in hope of freebies? Didn't get a clear photo of this one....will try this weekend.
