Stolen Nikon Gears

*Dear Moderators : Please Move to the Correct Section - Apologies if its Posted wrongly.

All my camera gears were stolen yesterday (June 17,09) when my house in Bandar Utama was broken into at about 20pm. The 2 perpetrators made away with my camera gears, my wife's white macbook, some cash and tried to cart away a security safe but didn't managed to drag it away. Praise God no one was at home at that time and my family is all safe. The cops came over and managed to lift a clean set of fingerprints from the glass window.

If you come across these gears below please do contact me at 012-3263683 Darren Ch'ng. All my gears have numerous stickers with my name and number and I am just praying they would be careless and leave 1 or 2 unremoved.

Thanks for reading.
Darren Ch’ng

Sorry to hear about that. Come to think of it, I better keep my warranty cards & receipts in another location so still can retain some useful info should the unfortunate happen.

Darren,

Such angered sadness

Its every householders' nightmare ! but like you said it could be worse, that your family was out of harm's way.

Those B**TARDS must have been watching your house for that moment, no ordinary opportunists.

Will keep an eye out for any suspiciously great 2nd Nikon bargains - here in Pg.

It does NOT usually cover camera equipment, you need separate insurance for consumer electronics.

I am very sad to hear this. It can happen to any of us also. House break-ins are happening everywhere now. I live in Puchong area. A few months back, a few of my neighbours house were broken into. They took laptops, cash, handphones. And worst of all, they did it on daily basis on any house they like as if there is no more law around here. And none of these robbers were ever get caught because most of them are untraceable. Installing CCTV also did not help much.
I bring along all my camera gears and laptop to office everyday. It is safer in the big building with security. I dare not leave them in the house during working hours while nobody was around.

Sad to know this...

If the perpetrators not the photography hobbist, sure they will try to sell the items...

Hoping that no photographers will buy those stolen items...
