Good investment

unless you are talking about a lens that can appreciate in value or
you are a pro and going to make $$ from the purchase of the lens

otherwise can one see a Rm300 difference when you compare the two identical images taken by the two lens ?

but for resell value the Nikon will hold it better then a 3rd party lens.

as for usage, try the lenses out before you part with your hard earn $$, you should be the best judge of what is better IMHO.

Thanks for your suggestion, I am not Pro for sure. Have you tested both of this lens?

so in conclusion, a tamron lens is actually better than a nikon ?

I'm actually looking for a lens for my Nikon D7000 too, thinking of something that can provide more or less every aspect (wide, portrait and zoom)

such as 18-300, the nikon ones are quite expensive for my budget. Then I found the Tamron version, which is much more cheaper. But ain't sure about quality and ergonomics.

Any advice on that?
