This looks really good. I have the X100 but I'm going to get this X-Pro1. It's the best combo for traveling.

1700$ for the body and another 600$ for a first lens...

Doesn't look very 'portable' either.

Update on this baby, had it in my hands yesterday at photo fair here in Bangkok.

Sadly battery was empty, so could not take pics with it.
However it's well made, feels good in the hands. Pretty camera too. And yes, it is big, this is no pocket size camera, it is substantially larger the X100.

Personally I think EV's are the future. Sooner or later they will replace the optical viewfinder.

But a lot of those new cameras coming out these days seem to forget to focus on one important factor - image quality.
Olympus has a lot of ugly noise reduction in their jpegs, Panasonic does less so but has much more noise as a consequence.
Yay, it's a tad smaller, yay it got a EV and other new gadgets....but ouch, it's IQ suffers and ouch it costs extra.
Wrong balance IMO.

At least Fuji gets the image quality aspect right with their X100 (and the Pro 1 likely too, The Canon G 1 X looks promising here too).
