Not required really, better to have a flash and macro lens.

Monopod might be useful, but tripod generally gets in the way for Macro shooting.

hhmm...i think they charge for bringing in cameras. and they certainly want you to register yourselves at the information counter, declaring that you shoot for non-commercial purposes. usually marshalls will walk around and will ask for the approval note or letter or something. i managed to escape the other day after claiming that i'm a student from sunway college...hehehee

Not when we went last time, just drive in, no need to show camera.

If you shoot commercial it's RM88.

If not it's RM1 per person RM4 per car, so about RM5 each.

A tripod might slow you down because on some trails it gets pretty narrow. Yea we had no problem the last time around, just drove in, paid RM5, then walked along the trail and shot bugs.

Bring along your tripod and minimum of 3 stop ND filters if you want to shoot the waterfall up there.

However, tripod may not be that usefull for bugs shooting, long time never shoot macro liao .. CM, ST, Cavey, yk, will come to lose some fat...
