My image looks great on my PC but washed out once uploaded to the web!

If your image looks great on your pc but pale/washed out once uploaded to the web, it's most likely that you've used adobeRGB color profile.

There's been a lot of discussions on sRGB vs adobeRGB so if you wish to know more about these, pls use the Search function to look for them, or just Google

http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tut...obeRGB1998.htm

Example #1:

Example #2:

If you use ACR, make sure you set the color profile to sRGB (red arrow)

If you use DPP or Capture NX, make sure you set the color profile in your camera to sRGB. It does not matter though if you shoot in RAW and use ACR for your RAW conversion as ACR will ignore your in-camera settings.

Disclaimer: If you're using Firefox3.5 or Safari on a Mac most likely you won't have any problems as both color profiles will display properly. However, you should still convert your images to sRGB though because majority of the viewers can only view sRGB correctly.

Yikes, after upgrading to Firefox 3.5, most of my extension are rendered unusable, especially the exif viewer. Hopefully my favourite extensions are quickly updated.

From now onwards, I'm more partial towards viewing aRGB photos view Firefox 3.5. It's slightly noticeable; aRGB colours are slightly richer compared with sRGB colours.

looks like firefox 3.5 has the config parameter of gfx.color_management.enabled remove, previous version it needs to manually set to "True" to render the image quite accurately according to ICC profile. Now seems to be using gfx.color_management.mode. default to 2... nice upgrades...

EXIF viewer works fine, you just gotta change the maximum version string in the add-on.
