Is there a way to mount a sigma mount lens to a nikon camera?

Hey guys, I've bidded on the wrong item in ebay, it's a sigma mount lens and i'm using a nikon d80. Didn't see properly..

I was wondering if there's any way i can convert the lens so that it mounts nikon?

Does mount converters exist?

Feel so noob now.. lol

i see, may i know what the adapter is called by any chance? And what does 4/3 mount means?

Edit: I think i understand what 4/3 means. Now i have to figure out what mount the sigma lens is.. anyone have any ideas?

The lens is "Sigma lens 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC MACRO"

Additionally, it appears that mount adapters will eliminate any electronic control, such as AF..

Sigma is a 3rd party lens company. I mean majority of its product.

The lens that you stated came with variable of mount. Sigma lens doesn't mean only got SIGMA mount, or Tamron lens with TAMRON mount. Of course, Canon,Nikon, Olympus, Pentax bla bla bla produce lens or their own mount system. But Sigma,Tamron and Tokina do produce their lens in variable of mount system.

There are Sigma lens 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC MACRO FOR Nikon, Canon, Sigma, Pentax and so on.

by the way, 4/3 system is the mount system. Like nikon F. Canon EFS/EF. Sony A, Pentax K and bla bla bla......

For the lens you stated there, need not a adapter or converter. Just ensure that is Nikon mount if you get a 2nd hand unit. Else, go to the shop, tell the sales man you want the particular lens in Nikon mount.

It's a sigma mounted sigma lens

Initially when i bid I tot it's mountable for most cameras but when I asked the seller he said only sigma mount, hence the problem.

However, someone else bidded it, so i'm free..

thanks for your inputs guys, i really appreciated it..

haha!

I bidded for a sigma lens (which is sigma branded) for a sigma camera which cannot normally fit a nikon camera.

But problem solved, someone else bidded higher already, yeay!

Sorry for the confusion guys..
