It's been a while since my original post in Sept 2010.
Almost 2 year on, things have changed a little.

The coffee maker Ah Siong passed away in a stroke last month.
It was devastating for the entire family, friends and even many customers who are very close to him. He was very much a people person.

I had done up another simple album for Ah Chow Kopitiam. Here's the preface:

====================
The Album is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/munfey/...7630380613660/

A NEW DAWN

Things have happened, things have changed, but not the love between us as family and friends.

Ah Siong(阿祥)took care of his customers like his own sons. Now that he has moved on, the customers are supporting Ah Chow like never before.

We saw that, felt that and we deeply appreciate that. From our hearts, thank you.

There's no better way to express gratitude to our customers except making good coffee and making Ah Chow a better place. Trust me, that's what we are doing now, step by step.

We also appreciate the efforts poured in by Ah Fong (阿凤)and Siong Jie (嫦姐). They had been helping for years and now they arrive at work earlier than ever at their own will. We're truly grateful.

We understand life must go on because it always does. We will remember him who is dearest to us all. We will learn from him and will carry on the legacy. This way, he lives in each and everyone of us.

His sons will help in the shop after school and during weekends. They need some time to cope with what everyone is having a hard time to accept. It's not easy.

They are learning, and trust me, their performances are improving, and nothing is more encouraging than that.

The future is far from bleak, it is as bright and gentle as the morning sun. Today is the beginning of the rest of our lives. Today is a new dawn.

========
